A bare bones viewer program that has a really annoying mechanism for loading files. Probably best to avoid.

==================================== // // // QuickNFO // // version 0.77 // // // ======================================== 1) Installation 2) Requirements 3) How to use 4) FAQ's 5) Plans for the future 6) Contact Information ::// Installation (1) Within the zip file there are 2 files: QuickNFO.exe - Extract this file anywhere you like unrar.dll - Extract this to your \system32\ directory within the windows directory (example: C:\Windows\System32\) ::// Requirements (2) A PC ::// How to use (3) When you run QuickNFO for the first time, please make sure you go into [options] and associate all NFO files to be opened with QuickNFO (the top tick box). If you do not do thism then the program is almost useless. Once the above has been done, just double click on an .nfo file in windows explorer and watch the magic come to light. :// FAQ's (4) Problem ======= Help! I have associated NFO files to be opened with QuickNFO and when I click on an .nfo file in windows nothing happens/I get an error when trying to associate .nfo's with QuickNFO! Answer ====== You will manually have to associate .nfo files with QuickNFO by going into Explorer->Tools->Folder Options->File Types and editing the extension yourself. Problem ======= I have loaded an nfo from a Multi-CD release, and nothing will work! Answer ====== That's because it is currently unsupported Problem ======= I can't extract anything! Answer ====== Make sure the unrar.dll is located in the correct place (to see this, try going into options and placing a tick in the Extract box) Where can I get releases/NFO's? =============================== This is the most asked question, unfortunatley! I do not have any 'releases' personally, I have tested this program with legal software only so if it does not work with anything illegal - don't blame me! NFO's are usually located within zip files such as trial/demo software - as are SFV's you can even create your own picture and load it in QuickNFO and there are many SFV creating applications out there (this may be included in QuickNFO in the future - or plugin). How do I use this program? ========================== Here is a quick explanation of how to use QuickNFO: [extract] - this button will go through and extract the release WITHOUT SFV checking it first [help] - Bring up the information screen [options] - brings up the options screen where you can configure everything Once an NFO is loaded from explorer, just click on the "Click here to SFV check this release" if no extraction process or execute program after extraction is ticked, this will simply SFV check the release and nothing more. *If the extraction option is ticked in options, then if the SFV check is successful, it will extract *If the execute program option is ticked, then after the extraction, it will run the specified program I realise it isnt the most user friendly application in the world, but anyone with half a brain should manage to work it properly (sorry if I offended anyone). If you have any other questions or problems, just post them in the forum on my website. ::// Plans for the future So far the only thing that has been planned to be included in the next release is full plugin support to allow other developers to start making addons for this program. Multi-CD support possibly also (could be the release after). :// Contact Information (6) WWW: http://www.aurora-studios.com Email: look on the website Forum: look on the website If this program or any information is not legal or copyrighted, please let me know - the last thing I want is for this to be illegal.
