He is the most experienced group leader in the scene, and for sure a very wise one. We look forward to his return. ~ In his absence, I will be handling the tasks and chores that he normally did. I will explain in detail what each of these duties are in the following text. I have been doing a lot of this already, but I made a list anyway. ~ If anyone is not sure how to contact me, leave me a response to this and I will give you all the details. I am available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the event of an "emergency," i.e. a game release, etc. I am normally available at my home voice number, but due to the extreme number of voice calls that I get, I can't return them all (right now I can't return ANY, damn PBX). This sometimes makes it seem that I am not as available as I say, but if there is great need to contact me, I have a satellite-controlled digital pager that can reach me within 2 minutes no matter where I am in the Western Hemisphere (I rarely leave the Western Hemisphere, because I like it here.) If you live in Lower Slabobia or Croatia or somewhere and don't know what a pager is (Bubble Man?), it's this little black box that I carry that beeps at me when you call a certain phone number. In other words, if you REALLY need me, I'm always there. Caution: Beeping me for something stupid will get you shot! ~ --------------------------------------------- ~ Now, here's that list of duties that I will be handling: (This is not all of them, but it's a start) ~ 1. North American game releases. I will monitor and handle all future and current releases in the US and Canada. (We all miss some from time to time, but I usually don't do too bad.) There are a lot of great suppliers over here, and I'll work with them to get all the cewl stuff for us! ~ 2. Other game releases. I will work closely with all suppliers in RAZOR to help make sure that we dominate on a global scale. (This would be the Eastern Hemisphere..never been there, but I hear it's nice and they have good games over there.) ~ 3. Members. I will attempt to stay in contact with all group members. Butcher, Randall Flagg, and I will stay in contact the best we can with all members. We will recruit new members, and we will kick out inactive members. ~ 4. Spreaders. I will help GRIM and BRAIN the best I can by refering new applicants to them, and by helping to handle spreader emergencies. Money. It takes money to run this group--We get it from different places. I will monitor it, distribute it, and buy games with it. Butcher and Randall Flagg have access to my cash records, so you know that I don't STEAL it! For the most part, this is a private part of RAZOR, and I generally do not discuss it. ~ 6. Misc Problems. Strange stuff pops up every day that requires handling. I'll do this the best I can. ~ --------------------------------------------- ~ 7. Improvements! Let's face it, there can always be improvements to the group, and here's what I want to see done ASAP: ~ A. Better Group Communications! A group that knows what's going on is a happy group. You need to stay informed. I intend to make it easier for you to find out what's going on. Here's how I want to do it: ~ a. More voice calls! You will be called more often by Me, RF, and Butcher. I invite you to call me more often if you would like. Speak out! If you feel isolated, call me and tell me. I'll fix it. ~ b. More teleconferences! We are having more alliances and dial-up conferences than ever. You may be called, and you will be told the PIN number if there is a dial-up alliance. You may need to call Mirage, AOF, or SOD to find out the information on each dial-up alliance. ~ c. RAZORNET! Computerized FIDO-compatible message network that any RAZOR affiliate can join! We want you to be a part of it. I am testing it now with Butcher, and soon we'll have it running, and we'll work on getting Mirage in on it. You too will be asked to join, so in the mean time, find out how to get a FIDO net network working on your BBS, or find out if your favorite RAZOR SYSOP will run it. ~ d. Voice Mail! We will be adding a voice mail box for the group. You can call and find out if there is a release, and what time it was released. Also any other very important group news will be recorded there. If there is a dial-up alliance, I may announce it there, but someone will give out our VMB, and then we'll have other group lamers in our conferences. ~ e. You will help! You must call Mirage, SOD, and AOF on a regular basis to help keep yourself in contact.
