The research staff has been funded by a │ │ respected (if slightly unethical) corporation. The weekly laboratory │ │ reports have been increasingly vague and now have stopped completely. │ │ Recent gory attacks near the mansion have lead to rumors of unnatural │ │ canines on the prowl. Something has gone terribly wrong. Two S.T.A.R.S. │ │ teams (Special Tactics and Rescue Squad) are sent to investigate these │ │ strange and gruesome developments. Bravo Team mobilizes first and │ │ disappears almost immediately. Alpha Team follows, urgently driven │ │ towards the mansion. As either Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine, two │ │ valuable parts of the Alpha team, you work your way inside. Everything │ │ is quiet ... too quiet. <This is exactly what razor wrote?> │ │ │ │ Features: │ │ ~~~~~~~~~ │ │ - Detailed Graphics and 3D Settings │ │ - Nine Different Monsters to Fight Against │ │ - Several Possible Endings Based on the Outcome of YOUR Game │ │ │ │ Installation: │ │ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ │ │ Unzip and then copy the fix.com into the root dir of the game then │ │ run FIX.COM....To fix up the sound (unless you have the addons) run │ │ LOWANG.EXE and that will blank out the beeps and/or class sux wav's │ │ │ │ Note: │ │ ~~~~~ │ │ SCENE NEWS: FIRST BETA EVER RELEASED BEFORE AND AFTER FINAL!!!! │ │ │ │ 9/13/97 - Interesting day in the scene today, all based around a little │ │ title called "Resident Evil". First - SKL released the first copy of │ │ RE in the morning, then PDM's version (proving SKL's beta, and their │ │ admitting it), first fix for PDM version by PDM, then of course my │ │ favorite, The Razor Final fully working version. Let's talk about this │ │ Razor version for just a second (your going to laugh your ass off). │ │ I have no idea what went on in the minds of Nexus 1911, but I actually │ │ think they thought no one would notice this. If you compare the SKL │ │ version with the RZR version - it's the same! hmmmm... Lets look at │ │ this in more detail - First of all, the file dates in RZR/SKL for the │ │ exe file and the readme.txt file are 7/24/97, and the exact same size. │ │ Compare that to the PDM Final, both past 8/22/97, our exe is 22K │ │ larger, and the usreadme.txt is larger. Did anyone even see a │ │ vlogo.avi in the RZR/SKL version? Of course not...it wasnt made til │ │ later (for the final version). Overall, what we have here is very │ │ simple...Razor actually stole the beta release, cracked it, added some │ │ wav's from the PDM addons, and called it final! When I saw what they │ │ had done, I fell out of my chair laughing at these guys ... Lets even │ │ say for the sake of argument this wasnt true, then why didn't they just │ │ crack the SKL beta? Or, are they admitting that the SKL version was │ │ final? (Talk about being inbetween a blade and a hard spot!) │ │ │ │ Lets take a look at the little questions from the Razor NFO: │ │ │ │ 1) The final version doesnt support non-3D cards! │ │ 2) The crack in the PDM version of the final had nothing to do with │ │ the 3DFX files! It was CD checks, hex re-routes and a file check │ │ to PU.AVI - thats it ... what the hell were you talking about??? │ │ 3) When the game has better graphics and higher quality sounds for │ │ the final game ... of course it's going to be larger! We have a copy │ │ of the beta, and rar'd all the files with sound under 72 disks. │ │ 4) The only amusing thing here was that Razor had to steal a game │ │ already released by a group called Skeleton, crack it, and call it │ │ their own. I feel kinda bad for these little guys at Razor, but │ │ you have to give them an A for effort! │ │ │ │ │ │ Ok ... lets leave Nexus 1911 alone now. They are trying to figure out │ │ where to get their next beta from (that must be hard work!). For all │ │ those that wonder why Razor 1911 hasnt been #1 since 94, is becuase │ │ it became an old lame group formally known as Nexus (they were just │ │ to lame to compete in the scene), Razor took members from Nexus at the │ │ end of 1994, and when the majority of the ppl that made Razor 1911 #1 │ │ left in early `95, it became the little group Nexus with a popular name. │ │ In fact, they were so worried ppl would find out how lame they were, │ │ they actually made Razor CD's and T-Shirts (for profit) so the scene │ │ would think it's the same ppl .... funny stuff .... true story. │ │ │ │ It's all up to you now...fix up the FINAL VERSION with the PDM fix │ │ (we take full responsablity for the fuck up, but remember our cracker │ │ only had the exe, didn't need the whole game like some ppl), or hope │ │ the beta version re-done by Razor works for you ... ENJOY! │ │ │ │ P.S. The Class Sux wave file included in the game was only a joke, so │ │ for those that took is seriously .... lighten up.
