Bugs Fixed ---------- The most significant bugs fixed were: - datum points and coordinate systems, created using Pro/ENGINEER(tm) 2000i2 menus while within the post-processing session, were not recognized by Procision. - Displacement Magnitude, displayed in the solver's final message window, was calculated using the assumption that the minimum displacement value over the constrained structure should be zero. This assumption may be incorrect in cases when symmetry boundary conditions are applied. - error opening results which were first opened and then copied using 'saved as'. Known problems -------------- On Intel NT platform, the field of the post-processing window which shows how the result coordinate system is oriented, may show up blank. This happens with some graphics cards, usually when the system display pallette is set to 16777216 colors. The problem is scheduled to be fixed in the next release. The temporary workaround is to set the system pallette either to 65536 colors, or to the 'True Color' mode. PROCISION is a new meshless structural analysis software that is completely integrated into the Pro/ENGINEER environment. PROCISION uses a new mathematical technique capable of directly calculating very accurate analysis results using precise solid models. As a result, very complex analysis problems can be solved faster, more accurately and with less computing resources than with traditional software. Details That Are Difficult to Mesh, Do Not Need to be Removed. PROCISION runs directly inside the Pro/ENGINEER environment and requires no finite element or geometric element mesh. Consequently, complex surfaces, blends, fillets and other details that are often difficult to mesh do not need to be removed. Unlike traditional analysis tools, PROCISION can efficiently analyze parts with both thin-walled and solid sections. Major design changes become easier because there is no mesh to recreate. You can do this by selecting on the proe2000i.exe from either your desktop or from your start menu. Right click and select properties. Select the folder called shortcuts. Modify the field called "Start in:" to a directory you wish to have pro/e start - Example: C:\temp. Click on "apply" then "okay". b) Make sure you have a config.pro file. You can create one by running'Pro/e and selecting Utilities/Preferences from the main menu. Now, select "load config" and save the file which will be stored in your working directory, i.e. c:\temp in our example. 2) Run setup for procision 3.66 and install it to this path: c:\procision. You may change the drive path to whatever you wish, but do keep note of it. 3) Copy the supplied license.dat and config.szf file to the \i486_nt\bin directory within Procision installation dir, i.e. in our example this would be C:\Procision\i486_nt\bin. Now open up the config.szf file and edit the drive path *only if* you have installed Procision to another path than what is listed. Save it close it. 4) Copy the installed C:\Procision\i486_nt\lmgr\ "lmgrd326b.dll" to your C:\winnt\system32 directory. 5) To run program you just need to load a part and select "Procision" from the part menu. 6) If you don't have Procison in the part menu select "Utilities/Auxiliary Applications and register procision by navigating to the installation directory and selecting the protk.dat file and then start.
