Ahhh, it's nice to be able to sit at home │ │ and still take the credit for this release...go fetch some more │ │ releases for us SM and let Heyta crack them...it will just keep being │ │ this easy. │ │ │ │ *NOTE* Per SPA rules, a group has 24 hours to put out a fix for │ │ a game before it gets nuked. Since we didn't want YOU the end-user to │ │ have to suffer and re-download a 60+ disk game for a tiny patch we │ │ chose not to. As far as we are concerned, this game and it's credit │ │ belong to RAZOR. We didn't get to release this game due to clASS │ │ rushing it out the door un-cracked as they have so many times before │ │ and just planning on putting out a fix down the road...I guess all the │ │ blame should fall on Skill, since he proclaims to be running the show │ │ these days....good work bud! │ │ │ │ - The Punisher │ │ │ │ Installation Instructions │ │ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ │ │ │ │ Copy POSTCRK.EXE to your POSTAL directory, and run it to crack │ │ Postal. This crack will also work on an original copy of Postal │ │ (i.e. one that you actually...gasp!...BOUGHT!) │ │ │ │ Crack Notes/Discussion │ │ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ │ │ │ │ This game consisted of two patches. One, which our incompetent │ │ rivals at CLASS did, and the other which they did not, but │ │ SHOULD HAVE FOUND IF THEY HAD DONE ANY PLAYTESTING WHATSOEVER! │ │ │ │ As soon as you shoot ANYONE in the game, everyone erupts into │ │ flames and dies. Game over. CLASS's initial response to this │ │ incredibly obvious screw-up? "That's just part of the game." │ │ │ │ 24 hours later, and still no-one can play the game...you'd │ │ think they would figure it out. │ │ │ │ The first check in the game was the ever-so-popular GetDriveType │ │ compare to make sure you are using a CD-ROM. Easy patch...any │ │ half-ass cracker can track that down. The second check was to │ │ seek to near the end of a huge garbage data file, and read in │ │ a value, comparing it a "valid" one. Of course, since this data │ │ isn't there in the CLASS release, a certain value is left untouched │ │ and the result is the "flaming Moes". If the offset is successfully │ │ seeked, and the data read in matches what it should be, a pointer │ │ is incremented by 16. And no more flames... │ │ │ │ The crack?
