Because of the number of BBS's, many boards could not be successful without becoming some kind of group distribution site or having enough quality users to upload. Xerious (Sysop of FLiPsIDE) and Lord Murkyl (Sysop of Total Chaos) formed a small network to help increase the activity and popularity of their respective systems. This network has grown in considerable size into what is now called FUSION. Qualifications ────────────── Sysops: ■ You must have at least one courier to call a hub. This courier must call daily to the hub and the site in order to downlad and upload to both systems. Read the courier qualifications below for more information. ■ There must be some kind of contributing from you or your BBS, preferably files. ■ Your BBS must use 9600 bps or higher and should be able to connect with HST, v32, or v32bis. ■ After getting the courier, you must submit a request form to one of the hubs. This request form will be voted on by the members of FUSION Net. If your request is rejected, you may or not be told why. This is at the discretion of the members. If you are accepted, then you will be notified. Couriers: ■ You must be able to call one of the designated hubs daily. That way we can be sure that the files get to the sites quickly. ■ Couriers must be able to connect 9600 bps or higher to the hubs and the sites. ■ If you are from the 510 or 408 area code, we are not accepting any more applications.
