โ†โ†’ โ†‘โ†“ are often used to navigate menus

Emulation too slow?
Set the emulator to use maximum CPU speed

Emulation too fast?
Set the emulator to use the 8086 CPU configuration

Need to turn off the audio?
Disable sound card support

Have no audio?
  1. Try SoundBlaster 1.0 hardware
  2. Try Covox Sound Master hardware
  3. The song or audio file maybe missing from the program
  4. Audio may not be supported
Unlike other systems of the era, audio for DOS was unfortunately complicated for both programmers and end users alike. A lot of early scene software didn't bother including it. While those that did often didn't test it on all the hardware they supposedly supported.

DOSee pronounced dos/see, is our emulator used to run MS-DOS based software in your web browser.

MS-DOS (Microsoft DOS) was the primary operating system used by PCs during the 1980s to the early 1990s and is the precursor to Microsoft Windows.

DOSee is a slimmed down, modified port of The Emularity.

The Emularity is a multi-platform JavaScript emulator that supports the running of software for legacy computer platforms in a web browser. It is the same platform that's running emulation on the Internet Archive.

EM-DOSBox is a discontinued, high-performance JavaScript port of DOSBox that is applied by The Emularity for its emulation of the MS-DOS platform.

DOSee uses BrowserFS ZipFS and ZipFS Extras to simulate zip file archives as hard disks within EM-DOSBox.

DOSBox is the most popular MS-DOS emulator in use today and is frequently used by commercial game publishers to run games from their back-catalogues on modern computers.

Stunning 3-D graphics and explosive sound deliver mesmerizing face-to-face combat and encounters! Easy "point-and-click" commands and 3-D point of view create a "you are there" feeling throughout your entire adventure. Everything you experience, including movement, spell-casting and combat, is from your point of view! " Legend has it there's a criminal conspiracy hiding in the Waterdeep sewers. Is this true? Well, if someone is hiding down here, we're going to find them... and destroy them! " -= Manufacture's Sugg. Retail Price: $49.95 =- โ–„ OVERVIEW โ–„ I Highly recommend a Mouse when playing this game. I have not figured out how to do some of the necessary tasks using the keyboard, yet. First off, you have two choices... 1) Select the Play game (using the pre-made characters) 2) Create your own guys.. This is the fun way, as you are able to sort through numerous pictures of your character, etc.. When you customize your character, there is a nice little command called "Modify". From what I can tell, this allows you to Cheat by increasing your guy's stats. Now Select: Play Game Eye of the Beholder has incorporated a Unique user-friendly interface that allows the user to do anything he needs with just a few clicks on the mouse button. You are standing in front of a pile of rocks.. First off pick up those two rocks in front of you.. (This will be useful later when you find a sling, and equip. one of your dudes in the back so he can fight too!) Watch your Compass closely to avoid getting lost, and to acquaint yourself with your 'new' surroundings. Through your searches you will discover several things. First off, you should see a dead elf with lock-picks beside his bones.. Take 'em, they're of no use to him anymore! (Note: Level 2 requires a thief using his lock-picks to get anywhere.. of course I'm probably missing something...) You will also find Magic potions, and healing potions, and swords of your defeated enemies. To open doors you must search the walls nearby for anything odd, and then click on it. A few doors have a floor lever, which when you walk over it opens.. * In one part of the game the door closes when you walk over the lever.. So being the smart one you are, you decide to lay a rock on the lever so that it won't close again *HINT*. To fight when you come across a bunch of monsters, just click the 2nd mouse button on one of the weapons in your character's hand. After fighting you might notice that the Health of your characters has gone down.. Simply click on 'Camp' and from there rest... I've gone 150 hours until my guyz were healed. I don't know if time is a factor in the game, as it is the only place it is mentioned. If you find a wall with a strange symbol on it, try walking through it.. some of these walls are hollow. I have found no practical use for the little grates in the walls, or the sewage drain pipes.. No ways to open the grate or climb in the sewer.. yech.. As you explore you are in search of the ladder which will take you down a level. I finally had to map the first level because I was getting nowhere.. *** I have included the map to the first level.. though upon testing it out, I have found what I believe to be several different maps for the 1st level... I cannot say for certain if this is true, but it does appear that the maps Do change from time to time.. *** You will find rations from time to time, but I have yet to see any indications that my characters will die without the food in their inventories. This about sums up the game.. Sorry about the "crudeness" of the docs, but I think most will learn a little from them.. NOTE: Eye of the Beholder Does Work! I have seen a few messages saying that copy protection popped up, but I have yet to find it. If there is a Serious problem yet your local INC member know, and we will take care or the problem... Enjoy! P.S. Be on the look out for the Complete docs on a bbs near you.. From INC, of Course! MIDNIGHT CALLER INC '91 (C)opyright 1991 "A Network Time-Killer Production"
