That is, a link such as "http://www.com/~user/docs/zip.html" or "/~user/docs/zip.html" could be converted to "../docs/zip.html" or "../../docs/zip.html" or "docs/zip.html" or "zip.html" or "../zip.html" or whatever the case may be. In other words, instead of "starting from the root directory (on server www.com), go to ~user, then go to docs, then load zip.html", you get "to reach this file, go up a directory, then load zip.html" or whatever depending on the relative position between the referring file and the file being referred. This makes a website "portable", or more specifically server-name-independent and directory-position-independent. That is, a "relativized" site can be moved to a server with a different name or down or up the directory level (e.g. from "/users/joe" to "/~joe") all of the links to files and images would still work, that is the site would function as if nothing happened. Please refer to the full documentation for a more detailed explanation and examples. Unless you really know what you're doing, I strongly recommend you back up your HTML files or use the option "Make Backups" when trying out the program for the first time. A feature called Results Redirection allows you to put processed files into a separate directory, allowing you to keep the original site with the absolute links and, for example, upload the "relativized" copy to your web server or compress it and distribute it.
