This is in reguards to Lesters comment and others about "Couriers Unite" (I'm speacking for myself and not dolt). I have a few points to make about the "Couriers Unite" article(s). They seem to have been taken the wrong way and not what they were intended for. To many people took what was written the wrong way and thats fine because Everyone is en-titled to there own opinions. I re-read what I wrote and the more times I read it, I disagree with what I wrote but I still agree on a few things I wrote about. So fine, I'm admitting that that 'Couriers Unite' text didn't actually make sense in the way it was written. It was a biased opinion that failed. (I learned a lesson, when you write something, take your time and don't write it in about 30mins or less just to get it published). O.k., lets see.... Lester writes "Now you guys say, why should couriers have to worry about what will get nuked and what wont? The answer is simple. THAT IS PART OF THE JOB. If you can't tell that by trading Garotos.Gay.New.Dir.V1.00.71.02.77.01 beta 3 release candidate 4, then you shouldn't be trading." ^------ DUH!! Even a 'complete moron' courier would know not to move a release like that and if they didn't, DAMN STRAIGHT they shouldn't be trading at all. Thats common sense there Lester. Next.. Lester writes "And why should all sites have the same rules? It's THEIR site. They should be allowed to keep anything that they choose to." ^---- ok fine, you got me there but I will keep my complaint about "If a siteop/staff doesn't want betas/etc on thier site, than find, Fuckin Nuke It but credits shouldn't be taken away from the courier for that reason. There are many other reasons for credits to be removed from the courier. (IE: Empty dirs/dupes/incompletes/foreign/etc)" unless its a file like "Garotos.Gay.New.Dir.V1.00.71.02.77.01 beta 3 release candidate 4". Hell, Nuke it 10X the credits for something like that. Hmmm.. Ummm... "They also mention that why don't couriers get to contribute in the release size and nuke rules? The reason? Couriers contribute nothing to the actual RELEASING." ^------ "They?" I never mentioned anything like that cuz your right, couriers DO NOT contribute in the release size (thats the release groups job) and couriers DO NOT contribute to nuke rules (thats the siteop/staff job). OUR job is to move files from "origin to final destination". If 'couriers' can't do that, turn off your computer, cancel your isp and give reality a chance! I know quote myself (yah I'm bored so?).. "The 'Scene HAS' deteriorated so much cuz of the little lamers poppin up all over the place and thinkin they own the scene. People saying shit about each other, Sites getting narqed for stupid gayass reasons, Groups fighting over who stole there crack or key-generator etc." (My God.. Grow-up allready!) If you disagree with that statement, You need to open your eyes and see what the hell is going on. I still also agree on................... "that if Release Groups have strick rules set towards them for the games/utils they release, Shouldn't SITES have 'regulated rules' that should be abided by all "Site Owners". FUCK!! Dumb question huh? Yah well, I guess it is since we allready have 'regulated rules". If your a courier, you should allready know the 'regulated rules' and if not, I'm sorry for you. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Finally, I couldn't of said this better myself.. "But couriers have to understand how things work. It is your responsibility to learn and grow as a trader. If you simply move everything then your not a very good trader, part of the job is to be knowledgable." Thank You Lester for that comment. My Final Words Couriers "Unite" to make the scene a better place to be! work^together amoung your group(s) Bye Bye -QuyetOne March 6th, 1999
