Carmageddon 3dfx Patch Proper   for Independent (IND)   by Class (CLS)

Lame CLASSless strikes again.. I hope they fucking die and let professional crackers crack (i'm not talking about me), they're wasting everyone's time and they won't fix their lame releases because it makes them look bad when they put out so many fixes! They fucked up a shitload of games and ignored me every time I complained.. What more can I say? Fucking stupid lamers.. get the fuck out of the scene, we don't want you if you won't fix your stupid mistakes! Class released this february 22, 1998.. it was great, it worked nice, the graphics are awesome, the game kicks ass.. only one little problem (as always with class): the idiot who cracked it didn't test it! You can save games, but you can't load a game (it asks for the cd), you also can't play network games because it asks for the cd.. how LAME. I spent a whole day on irc messaging everyone, hanging out in cracking channels, but no one wanted to crack it.. so i spent a few hours staring at the disassembled code trying to find whats wrong with this shit.. but it was worth it, because now I can play the higher levels without going through the first 3 every time.. Needless to say, it took me so much time because I have absolutely no cracking experience, well I had no cracking experience when I started, right now I have a little more ;). I only changed 2 more bytes (in addition to what class changed), one for loading games and one for hosting a multiplayer game, there is one more place where there could be a problem with the cd check (in the code) but I didn't change it because I can't find that place in the game.. maybe it's where you join a multiplayer game, I didn't test that feature because for some reason I can't play multiplayer on my local LAN.. if anyone finds the cd problem email me at [email protected] and i'll fix it. Installation: unrar into your carmageddon directory and run carmav.exe!
