(starting w/1st to present) <Glacier> Started out in dwa about 2 years ago, was a op in #freeasf and this group exodus came in looking for a dumpsite, so I joined as a dump operator, so I was in exodus for about 2 weeks, then they decided to merge into gwa and I got left behind cause gwa already had a dump and drunkkid was in exodus and didn't want to leave me behind, so me and him joined tmg together was there for about a couple of months. Had some differences so I left, I joined XC shortly after that, was there for a couple of months, quit cause of differences with a member, I joined RTS a couple of weeks later, during my time in RTS, I joined SWAT,JGT, and DQF, SWAT kinda of parted apart and most members joined Arsenic so I joined them, had some differences with a senior in RTS, so I decided it would be in my best interest to leave RTS, and I parted from arsenic to take a lil time off. DQF I joined VLN shortly after I departed from RTS Which is going great. <Glacier> I been a active scene member for about 1 1/2 - 2 years or so oh ya before that. My current groups are VLN/JGT/HTG -[CwS Interviewer]: Which are your best talents in the scene? ( courier/rls group/admin ) <Glacier> Well I love doing all, couriering is great, its all fun to do, I want to learn shell trading soon. Rls scene is nice cause its competitive, and have fun doing it and I love running a site. I currently have a site coming up soon, its up but not in so called "top site" form. I like to stay equal in all my groups. -[CwS Interviewer]: What is currently happening in your Group(s)? <Glacier> Well, VLN just picked up some new members, with alot of xc disbanding, neo started couriering again, so it looks good for VLN. JGT is doing pretty good we rlsed alot like a week and a half ago, and more rlses are coming all the time. HTG is going pretty good after the DQF-HTG merge, was good for both groups, worked out well. -[CwS Interviewer]: What is you Opinion on the current status of the scene? <Glacier> Alot of politics in the scene lately, also alot of bashing & accusations, and alot of fighting recently, Seems it will be all healthy, I see more sites coming up, and not as many are .edu it seems anymore, which will be good cause it will lead to alot more stabler sites, and longer lasting sites, and not as many busts for boxops. As long as fighting/accusations stop all should become good again. I seen groups getting busted. Sites getting busted, sites going up and down. -[CwS Interviewer]: What would you tell the up and coming scene members? <Glacier> Well I would tell the up and coming members, to not take irc/scene to seriously, some take it too seriously and spend too much time on the computer trading/ripping/cracking when there grades are going down in the process for the younger people. I would say people starting new groups should really look into what they rls so there is more quality than crap rlsed. And releases should be for the end user not crap, just for the megs/weekups. Im back this week and ready to roll (out my review not the other roll, but thats coming in 1 or 2 days, or both!). Its been a big week where I live. Our grand final for Aussie rules football and my families 'supported' team from like 40+ yrs ago are in the grand final (Essendon for you .au people and who know AFL football). So lots of shit is happening, and a mass mass party happening near me. A few kegs/barrels, B.B.Q, big ass tv, drugs and shit happening, its gonna be huge!. Anyway, back to the scene stuff I guess (whatever that is, Im kinda idle of late, real life is way too busy for me). I would majorally like to thank chill for his review, you rock! As you can probably can tell, I am pretty hyped up and feeling fine, if only I had a webcam of how fast I am typing. Ive come to work early so Im not actually 'working' so no work emails, phone calls etc are getting in my way of my review. It should only be a 10 minute typing effort instead of the usual 1-12 hours (yes, some of my reviews have taken 12 hours, either because of work, sleeping, alcohol, clubbing, drugs, women or other interferences :> ). Ive only had 3 hrs sleep as well, a few mates and I went to Crown Casino in Melbourne last night and had some fun till 5am, and fuck its nice driving 60 miles back in a '97 car (I love my car!). And now Im meeting some model chick today for lunch, and Im going to one of her modelling shows with her because her boyfriend doesnt want to go *evil EVIL grin*. Seems they have firmly planted their feet in the #1 position or at least damn close to it each week of late. They have the boxes, the traders, the time, so why not use it and get #1 they say :) Freak(#2), nail(#4) and chill(#5) all showed off their talent (and time to kill) and all finished up in the top #10 list this week. Grats! And its damn good to see nail in the list (probably my favourite trader for the past 12 months, for trading and being a cool person. Who needs an ego?! He doesn't!). Cahor(#11), bud(#18), acid(ooh yeah, I like the name!#21) and our very own cws superstar ls(#25) all did a fine effort themselves to land in the top #25 list. A fine effort all around to AMN, they have the talent and numbers and are using them finely, except they were being bitten on the heels by RiSC, who I have heard have big things awaiting us soon (hopefully!) and winning by a small but comfortable 13 points. Rating: (9.2/10) AOD (ANGELS ON DRUGS): They made #5 this week, with a very comfortable lead over the #5 group. No traders made the #10 list this week (sadly). Though, mimoz(#13), jff(#15) and anthrax(#17) still put in a fine effort to land themselves in the top #25 list this week. But the main thing is, the group weektops were enough to keep AOD's name in the top #5 this week, and thats what counts (as the old saying, theres no I in the word TEAM, unless you are stray and cant spell! Heard he last wrote on a spelling page- I AMM EN A TEIAM ORR BUY MISALF- STREY. *grin*). Anyway grats to AOD for making the top #5, but it would be nice if I could put some/any names in the top #10 list! Something to go for next week... Rating: (4/10) MOONSHiNE (MSN): Microsoft Nuns to some, these guys are staying in the euro side of things nicely. #3 this week and a big grats goes out from me. Good to see guys! Rating: (6.5/10) RiSE iN SUPERiOR COURiERiNG (RiSC): A mighty fine effort from the RiSC boys (no girls that I remember trading, well, thraxis aint trading too much lately *grin*), to place #2 this week. Hot on the heels of #1 spot, but just quite not there. Avalanch(#1) owned this week, great to see my friend, Flavor(#8), Psedo(#9) and worp(#10) all put in a nice effort and placed their asses in the #10 list this week(cable god is standing right behind each of them of course! *PUMP!*). djmp3(#20 and under the RiSC flag now) and cadence(#25) ended up in the #25 list, good to see dudes. But once again, its the group effort that counts and that sees RiSC end up #2. And a very fucking comfortable 98 points ahead of #3 spot.
