=============================================================================== Sierra's LEISURE SUIT LARRY II - 'BUSTED' 11/11/1988 by PIRATES-R-US =============================================================================== LEISURE SUIT LARRY II is another in the line of excellent graphics-adventure games from the Sierra camp, and features their usual stunning graphics and the new MIDI sound-support! Except for the 'Enter_A_Phone_Numer_To_Play' startup- scenero, which, once again, is a real pain in the ass, the rest of the game merits another full 5 stars!!! So, what we need to 'perfect' the game is a simple patch to remove the need to match-up the 'Enter_A_Phone_Number_To_Play' screen with the pictures from the original manual. In the interest of 'crack-speed', we decided to leave the question in, but restrain it to a constant single question/response. The batch file supplied does just that... One simple word of caution is, as always, to be sure to run it on a backup copy just in case Sierra releases differing versions of the software... (For your information, the only file that is affected is "SIERRA.EXE". Further, if you examine the batch file itself you will find two patches to the same memory locations; the 1st patch-line should be the same as the bytes that we are replacing...) To proceed, insure you have the file "SIERRA.EXE" in the current directory and a path to "DEBUG.COM", then run the batch file: "FIX-LL2.BAT" That's all there is to it... The manual is never needed again! Now, the 'Phone_Number' requested will ALWAYS be: "7448" Have fun and good QUESTing...
