I have watched Borg, cronos hase done a great job ! Has it will written with Borland 5 (IDE).. i haven't it. But, i downloaded "bcc5.5 compiler" which is free. I have tried it a little and the problem is the following (i have the same problem with tasm..): Some DirectX constants (which are in .lib) are not present : as you imagine there is an error when linking. With the compiler the .lib are not provided.. it's just a "rip" from your own dll; i have tried with sdk directx lib but the lib format is different (omf / coff), i have tried to convert it but it don't work.. (maybe we should bordland lib provided with the commercial version of bcc5.5 (+ide)).. For the project itself, we have two ways: - "hard" debugger.. (for 9x : we just have to hook int1 (and/or int3).. and we can do everything.. (we have to made a .sys for NT :( ). - "soft" debugger .. which use Debug API : CreateProcess..DEBUG_PROCESS..CREATE_PROCESS_DEBUG_EVENT.. [see Izcelion's tut] we are on ring3.. maybe better for directX ; however i'm not totally sure (yet) that it should work for all games.. What do you think ? The 'problem' is that i don't know really see the directx stuff for the moment.. I will practice directdraw (because we'll have to draw a gui, right?) as soon as possible. For the moment, we must solve the compiler problem.. Lucifer48 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I suggest you first have a look at 'knapsack_tutorial.txt' (riped from Applied Cryptography) to understand how everything works. ----- [email protected] Q :))) Hello, how are you dude ? It was a while.. Well, as i discovered about one week ago that my website is banned.. i went (by hazard) on my link page, and clicked on http://crackmes.cjb.net I looked around and saw your name (nearly) everywhere ;) As i am ill (my eyes..) this week, so i decided to look at your magic ToolMe! I should have already said it to you, but i try to keep my PC powered off as long as possible, because it will be my job (in one year now..) I want to enjoy simply my real life.. And I think that IA32 (x86) is now dead.. IA64 (itanium) will rocks!! And what about you ? Your Army is over now i think ? What are do doing ? I'd like to see Savage again.. I'm very far away from the scene, and i'd like to stay there. Well, back to real life.. i'm working actually for a vendor, i'm making some websites, and teaching some stuffs (web; office).. it sucks but it makes me some money.. i've got (yet!!) the hight life. Still one year at university and it will be over. Since, "Working + Study" is very difficult.. "Working + Study + Cracking" is impossible. Well, i'm awaiting your answer :))) "Seize the life" !!! Re give me your personnal (working!)mail..> [email protected] should befine now.. i've freed some space there (:> > btw, do u know where the plaintext line is taken> > from? > > Dream Theater - A change of Seasons (1995)> III. Carpe Diem <--- yes !!> Thats right =) be sure to check them out, DreamTheater is one of the best rock/metal bands i know of =) We should set up an irc meeting to see when we can write some projects together...talk to u soon,+Q ----- [email protected] ----- Hiya :) How are you !! Your Army is over now i think ? What are do doing ? And what about Phrozen Crew, is it still "slow".. there ;) These last months, I was very away from "the scene". As i said many times, my study goes first. It's now vacation :) Still one year at university and it will be over. I'm working for a vendor (web and teaching stuff) to make me some money, but it leaves me lots of free time (until september..). > We should set up an irc meeting to see when we can > write some projects together...talk to u soon,+Q Well, i'd be very happy to work and learn with you. If you have some ideas, tell me !! I'm very open to code with you ! I didn't go to an irc chann for 6 months.. tell me when and where !! Is it possible for you, on sundays or satudays (not too late..) I'm GMT+1. (14 or 15 july ?) Seeya :) Lucifer48 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- hEya :) 1) I must admit, i'm quite lost. I have never heard about borg2, please, tell me where to find it. 2) I'm ok to code whatever, you want ;) 3) What do you want exactly ? Something near soft-ice or w32dasm disasm ? 4) I havn't got so much experience with DirectX coding.. but! tasm (and tlink) are now rather old and the .lib are different from microsoft (sdk)..{coff obj} [i had this pb in my directinput stuff..] So coding DirectX with TASM is not very serious. 5) On which plaform ? win9x ? NT, linux ? 6) Well.. you must.. tell me more.. to see exactly what is the job. Any docs are welcome. Lucifer48 PS: We have already 2 excellent tools which are IDA and Soft-Ice.. but why not reinventing the wheel ;) As i already told you. IA32 (x86) is almost dead.. http://lucifer48.anotherlight.com/ --- hi mate! =) what's up? here's an email i've exchanged with cronos.I wanted to join him and code borg3 disassembler, where i'll write a debugger. However, he replied he's too busy to code himself, but he gave me promission to use borg2 disassembler engine for whatever porpes. So, what would u say about writting a debugger, with directX support? awaiting your reply, +Q -------------------- (cronos email) Hi +Q, Supposed to be writing Borg3......... work to date is nil more or less...... been busy with another site, and will be busy for a while yet. Your debugger additions sound great, especially the DirectX additions. You're welcome to add anything to the Borg2 source but I haven't got anywhere with the next version yet :( I just wish I had more time to devote to everything :( Cronos. ----- Original Message ----- >Dear cronos, >I have a somewhat big proposal for you: i'd like to join >you in developing borg3! >I've seen borg2's source, and I must admit, you have done >an AMAZING job =) >From your site i figured you are re-writting borg3, and >I would greatly like to join this project. >Personaly I would like to add a debbuger to your project. >I've been meaning to write one for sometime, and using your >disassembler engine, it would be much easier (: >The neat thing is that i've found a way to debug DirectX >full screen games (hooking DirectDrawCreate, adding a new >backbufer screen with its ppd, and run a page flip to the >debugger screen), and this is something i'd very much like to >develop.. > >So my friend, please tell me your opinion, and should you >agree, we'll setup an online meeting.. > >take care, >+Q
