In addition to │ │ ferocious combat actions, the players will need to carefully manage │ │ their hard earned resources. As a BattleMech Mercenary, you must │ │ earn your money to pay for new weapons, ammunitions, and much needed │ │ repairs. If you encounter rough missions, you can now hire up to │ │ two additional Mercs to help out your cause. Other special features │ │ in Mercenaries include: │ │ │ │ ■ Non-linear story line where each mission will have different out- │ │ outcomes depending on how well you do. │ │ │ │ ■ With MercNet included, you can now compete head-to-head via modem, │ │ up to 8 players via LAN, or compete worldwide via the Internet! │ │ │ │ Unfortunately, all these nifty features come at a price. If you have │ │ anything less then a Pentium processor, FORGET IT!
