Castle Wolfenstein Unprotect (TMH)
NOTE: This unprotect was tested using IBM DOS 2.1 (The same DOS
that comes with the original Castle Wolfenstein Disk), and
MS DOS 2.11. It worked well with both; however, I also tried
IBM DOS 3.2, and it did not work. Other versions of DOS may
also not work properly)
1. Format a Double sided diskette. You can use the /S option
if you would like to make the diskette self-booting.
2. Write-protect the original Castle Wolfenstein disk, and then
Copy all the files from the original disk to the formatted disk
using the DOS command Copy *.*. DO NOT USE DISKCOPY!
3. Copy DEBUG.COM from your DOS diskette, and the files CWOLFUNP.BAT
and CWOLFUNP.INP to the formatted disk.
4. Place the formatted disk in drive A, and at the DOS prompt A>,
Enter "CWOLFUNP".
5. The file CWOLFUNP.INP provides instructions to DEBUG. It will do
all of the work for you.
6. When you run your copy, don't write-protect it. The game requires
that the disk be un-write-protected.
You should now have an uprotected and disk copy-able Copy of Castle
Wolfenstein. One note: This unprotected version needs tracks 34-38
blank; that means that you should not copy any thing else onto this
disk. If you do, and tracks 34-38 have something written on them, the
program will not run.
