His mood was on a le- │ │ vel most people elect to call agony. His recent experiences with da scene │ │ were not what U would call creme de la creme, so all his ideas finally │ │ landed on a CeMeTeRy. But he wanted to give it a second try. Since there │ │ was nobody around, decay was a single.member.group for awhile. │ │ The first releases by pioneer were published. After a while he asked his │ │ classmate known as epox 2 join decay. epox, who is highly gifted, very │ │ creative and an allround-genius [actually he wrote this text ;) ], didn't │ │ have contact with the scene till then although he was a sounder and 4 a │ │ long time in the Berlin.mailbox.scene. He agreed 2 join. At the same time │ │ the fresh!bbs became the decay.whq. The fresh! was <and still is :) > a │ │ fine scene-orientated system that wanted 2 get a whq.status. And decay │ │ needed a good bbs with a not.lame.sysop who cares about the supported │ │ groups and especially about a whq <what actually isn't easy 2 find :( But │ │ we did! :)>. 'Cause stoker, the sysop, was very cooperative and did a lot │ │ 4 the group.support and organizing he became the third official │ │ decay.member. │ │ stoker knew another musician called ray who wanted 2 join decay. So we │ │ wanted him 2 upload some songs by him into our memberboard. So he did. We │ │ didn't have another choice but 2 give him member.status. Why? Check it │ │ out :) │ │ But the group life isn't so easy as it seems to be. I remember the │ │ selection of the decay.file.id. We wanted to have a standart.file.id that │ │ informs about the decay.releases. Till then everybody used his own id. │ │ There were tons of id's - but we had to select only one. It is easier said │ │ than done. Everyday new id.proposals were made. The selection seemed to │ │ never end. Finally mr.4tune of bpr created a file.id that everybody │ │ accepted. Oh boy, don't give decay.members the freedom of choice - it'll │ │ become a catastrophe ;) │ │ In october '96 there was a big step 4 decay. We got our first dist.site │ │ outside Berlin.
