RAMPFIX.EXE (For VGA version of RAMPART) By Monsier Lapanche of Mon Dieu! Software ----------------------------------------- RAMPFIX.EXE removes the copy protection from RAMPART by Electronic Arts. RAMPART was an easy crack, since the file is not a self-extracting executable. The crack program simply places NOP instructions for the JNZ instruction if the entered code is wrong. -- STANDARD DISCLAIMER -- RAMPFIX.EXE is a *free* program for legal owners of RAMPART. It is not meant to be used for making pirated copies of RAMPART for your friends or enemies. Also, I do not guarantee that this crack will work for you. It is best to backup the file RAMPART.EXE since this is the file RAMPFIX.EXE modifies. In the event that the crack fails :-( simply copy the unaltered RAMPART.EXE back to the game directory. This program must be run while in the RAMPART game directory. Also you must not have the read only attribute on. (Duh!) It is best to copy RAMPFIX.EXE to the RAMPART game directory. After running the program, you may discard it. (Or run it over and over again to make sure the protection is really removed...that is if you have nothing better to do with your time ;) BTW, doesn't starting off with two cannons on the advanced levels suck?! I guess this game is for the masochists... It's almost as bad as having to deal with manual copy protection, ugh!
