─══ DOCUMENTATiON OF UNCOM ══─
■ Introduction
UNCOM is a generic unpacker for COM files. It uses 386 hardware breakpoints.
On my machine all COM protectors got unpacked by UNCOM except Gardian Angle
and MASK. UNCOM requires a CPU 386+
■ Usage
UNCOM is easy to handle. There are two parameters:
- /a this option requires realmode. Some protectors crash Int 1, so
using an own interrupt table fixes this problem
- /b some protectors like RCC (from R0SE) make fake jumps to 100h, so
normal unpackers think that there starts the original comfile and
writes the code to disk
If uncom asks if it should take the original filesize or not you can choose
if the unpacked file is as big as the original file which may cause problems
with packed files. In other case it tries to detect the real filesize by its
own. Just play a bit with the options and use the combination which is the
most successful one.
