It automatically keeps track of the last directory from which a database was opened last time, so when next time you want to open a file this directory will be selected first. Amongst many features, dbAssist also allows to verify the databases against possible header or record corruption, explaining the source of the corruption. dbAssist 2000 is a shareware software, so it can be downloaded and use freely, but with the following limitations: 1. a 30 sec delay on the opening screen, and 2. it will end itself after 5 minutes of use (then you should launch it again).
