GRiM-Trials and tribulations
Hey to everyone,
The following is a story of the long wait an individual went
through to obtain a modem. There is one simple message which is
clear throughout this story which I am sure you will discover.
In mid-July of 1994 GRiM from Central Park arranged to sell a
modem to someone, the modem had to be imported from the US and it
was arranged that the individual was to place the amount in GRiM's personal
bank account, then GRiM arranged the order. One week later the modem had
not arrived and the buyer call GRiM and GRiM quickly reassured the buyer
that his modem would arrive shortly.
Three days later the buyer called GRiM and this was his excuse
"Um yeah man, I rang the courier and there was a bit of a problem, ah...
they accidently sent it to Austria. They must have mixed up Austria and
Australia, sorry it should be here in a few days." The buyer agreed
to wait (not that he had much choice).
Four days later GRiM recieved the modems he ordered, but ha!
Do you honestly think the buyers wait was over!! You guessed it and
his excuse this time: "Oh yeah man, there's been a bit of a mix up, I
got my modems but they sent me a 28.8 instead of your 16.8, um, I'll
call the guy and see what happened."
Two days later "Yeah man the guy sent it out right away it'll
be here in about three days." another three days later "Um yeah it's
still going through customs dude so it should be here in the next day or
so." The buyer waited extremely patiently for his modem even though it
was almost three weeks late!
The next day the buyer called GRiM he said:"Hey man I got in
touch with the courier and he said their sending it out tomorrow morning
so be ready to pick it up tommorow afternoon." The buyer was ready the
next day and he waited for GRiM's call... an hour from when he was supposed
to call(another bad point!!) the buyer called GRiM,"Look man call the
courier and qoute the number of the package and you'll find out where
it is." The buyer called and they said it would be out on Monday.
(Which it finally was!)
Look, to anyone out there intending on buying a new modem or
anything else and GRiM offers to get it for you tell him to get
!@#$%* OK!
P.S GRiM, the guy who bought the modem does'nt know I've written this.
