Well, as all Sega │ │ games at this time, they did not support any 3D accelerator cards (like │ │ Virtua Fighter 2 or Daytona Deluxe etc etc.). Now they made the dreams │ │ of all soccer fans true and offered a Direct3D patch to play it via │ │ 3DFX, Rendition and all the rest of the 3D cards. Well, its fantastic. │ │ It even comes close to Fifa RTWC 98 with this patch , believe me. To │ │ play it with D3D, you have to do the following: │ │ │ │ - grab the backlash release of Sega WWS (08/15/97) BLHWWSXX 43 files │ │ - delete/rename the original WWS.EXE file │ │ - copy the -NEW- WWS.EXE file (1268736 bytes) to your game directory │ │ - move the content of the GAME subdirectory to the root of the │ │ game directory, cause of different re-routing this time │ │ - start WWS.EXE and select your Direct3D driver to play! │ │ │ │ Remember: the game EXE must have the name WWS.EXE, otherwise the game │ │ will not work. │ │ │ │ Ok, this is not too hard to manage, eh? :) Enjoy this fine christmas │ │ release.
