Emulation too slow?
Set the emulator to use maximum CPU speed

Emulation too fast?
Set the emulator to use the 8086 CPU configuration

Need to turn off the audio?
Disable sound card support

Have no audio?
  1. Try SoundBlaster 1.0 hardware
  2. Try Covox Sound Master hardware
  3. The song or audio file maybe missing from the program
  4. Audio may not be supported
Unlike other systems of the era, audio for DOS was unfortunately complicated for both programmers and end users alike. A lot of early scene software didn't bother including it. While those that did often didn't test it on all the hardware they supposedly supported.

DOSee pronounced dos/see, is our emulator used to run MS-DOS based software in your web browser.

MS-DOS (Microsoft DOS) was the primary operating system used by PCs during the 1980s to the early 1990s and is the precursor to Microsoft Windows.

DOSee is a slimmed down, modified port of The Emularity.

The Emularity is a multi-platform JavaScript emulator that supports the running of software for legacy computer platforms in a web browser. It is the same platform that's running emulation on the Internet Archive.

EM-DOSBox is a discontinued, high-performance JavaScript port of DOSBox that is applied by The Emularity for its emulation of the MS-DOS platform.

DOSee uses BrowserFS ZipFS and ZipFS Extras to simulate zip file archives as hard disks within EM-DOSBox.

DOSBox is the most popular MS-DOS emulator in use today and is frequently used by commercial game publishers to run games from their back-catalogues on modern computers.

One of INC's better release, this small utility program helps improve you game to speak. This is the first release, and it was rushed. Although it's been tested and it works, I haven't found out if any harmfull side effects occure when modifiying your characters to the max. Also, in release 2.0, I will have finished the Spell Editor, the Equipment editor, and the tranfer utilities. But v/1.00 is enough to get you started. " loading EOB2EDIT " To use EOB2EDIT, simply type EOB2EDIT at the dos prompt. You will then be prompted for the name of the .SAV file you wish to edit. Type that in, and you are ready to go. You can also specify the .SAV from the command line like this EOB2EDIT EOBDATA0.SAV Once the program is run, the main menu appears. From here, you can select which of the 6 characters you wish to edit. Use the up and down cursors to select the character (to Exit to dos). " editting a character " After you have selected a character, the Edit Character window will appear with your character information. Use the up and down cursors to select the different fields. Here is a general description of each field. Character Name β”‚ This field holds your character's name! It β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”˜ is limited to 10 characters. Race β”‚ Holds your Race and Sex. Use the left and right β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”˜ cursor keys to scroll through the choices. Classβ”‚This holds you character's class. Again use the left β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”˜and right cursor keys to scroll through the choices. Strβ”‚Strength is limited to 20/100 (ie 20/00). β”€β”€β”€β”˜ Int, Wid, Dex,β”‚All other attributes are limited to 20. Con, Chr β”‚ β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”˜ Hpβ”‚Your hitpoints (both max and current are set). This is β”€β”€β”˜limited by EOB2EDIT to 5000, but I have encountered problems if they go above 500. ACβ”‚This is your current Armour class rating. I have found β”€β”€β”˜that even if you modify this, it seems to have no effect on the game. Level 1β”‚These are the current levels for each of your Level 2β”‚classes. Even if you have only a 2 or single classed Level 3β”‚character, all 3 levels are kept on file. The β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”˜maximum level the game allows is 13. Max Out spellsβ”‚By selecting this option, you will be given β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”€β”˜all the availiable mage spells in your spellbook. I'm working on an editor that allows you to select indivual spells for version 2.00. By pressing F1, you will save the data. If you press F2 all changes will be forgotten. A note on ability scores. Changes them about 20 seems to have no effect on the game. You do the same damage, get the save AC, etc. Go figure. -=USA/Fairlight=-
