DOSee pronounced dos/see, is our emulator used to run MS-DOS based software in your web browser.

MS-DOS (Microsoft DOS) was the primary operating system used by PCs during the 1980s to the early 1990s and is the precursor to Microsoft Windows.

DOSee is a slimmed down, modified port of The Emularity.

The Emularity is a multi-platform JavaScript emulator that supports the running of software for legacy computer platforms in a web browser. It is the same platform that's running emulation on the Internet Archive.

EM-DOSBox is a discontinued, high-performance JavaScript port of DOSBox that is applied by The Emularity for its emulation of the MS-DOS platform.

DOSee uses BrowserFS ZipFS and ZipFS Extras to simulate zip file archives as hard disks within EM-DOSBox.

DOSBox is the most popular MS-DOS emulator in use today and is frequently used by commercial game publishers to run games from their back-catalogues on modern computers.

If you find any, or have any comments or suggestions please pass them along to me as soon as possible. ┌────────────────────────────────────╖ │ Introduction to TRSi Release Maker ║ └════════════════════════════════════╝ TRSi Release Maker welcomes you to the most comprehensive Pirate tool in production. This unique program is capable of doing everything automaticly you did manual before, when creating a new TRSi release. This includes repacking, packing, and adding of files as well as editing release infos, release notes and File_ID.DIZ. It also comes whith a scrollable ANSI .nfo File in textmode that will include all neccessary data you usualy type in your lame ASCII .nfo. In addition it will support a complete TRSi Release History of your Releases. I hope the TRSi Release Maker provides you with as much pleasure as I intended with its creation. ┌────────────────────────────────────╖ │ TRSi Release Maker Features ║ └════════════════════════════════════╝ ■ Repacking of already packed files with various arcer. ■ Packing of whole directory trees. ■ Tagging of files and directories you whish to process. ■ Full cursor navigation through all your drives and directories. ■ Full screen editing of release notes, infos and File_ID.DIZ. ■ Stamping of all files to the selected release date and time. ■ Inculdes a scrollable ANSI in textmode. ■ Able of processing multiple files and dirs. ■ ZIP header support. ■ BBS Advertisment support. ┌────────────────────────────────────╖ │ Requirements ║ └════════════════════════════════════╝ ■ VGA graphics ■ 286 or better processor ■ about 128K of conventional memory ■ PK-Wares PKZip 2.04g ┌────────────────────────────────────╖ │ TRSI Realease Maker Installation ║ └════════════════════════════════════╝ First read the whole documentation! Just unzip the archive (with -) in its own directory. If you did not unzip the archive with -d you must create two subdirectorie names RELEASE and WORK. The processed files will be stored as ready-to-courier-archives in the release directory. The work directory will be used by the Release Maker itself for storing temporary files. Be sure that at least PKZIP is in your path or better create an own directory for all your arcers and put it into your path statement. Then edit TRSI-RM.CFG and start TRSI-RM.EXE. ┌────────────────────────────────────╖ │ The TRSI-RM.CFG File ║ └════════════════════════════════════╝ The TRSI-RM.CFG file consits of three lines: - 1st line : Full path to the default starting directory. (e.g. C:\TERM\DOWNLOAD\) - 2nd line : Full path and file name to the ZIP Header. (e.g. C:\TRSI\HEADER.NFO); - 3rd line : Full path and file name to your BBS addy. (e.g. C:\TRSI\MYBBS.EXE); ┌────────────────────────────────────╖ │ TRSi Release Maker Functions ║ └════════════════════════════════════╝ ┌────╖ │ F1 ║ Make Release : Start the Release Maker. └════╝ You are now able to select the files, drives and directories you whish to process. You can navigate freely through your drives and directories and tag files. Tagged files will not be stored if you change to another drive or another directory. After this a window will pop up, where you can enter the release information the program needs to process the release. The fields should be quite self explaining but a few words to some special one. The release date and time field will make use of a multi dimensional picklist. By starting the editing it will get your system's current date and time. If you change the year, month, day or hour the next default selection will be update after the following logic. If you change: Year - Month = January, Day = 1st, Hour = 18, Min = 00 Month - Day = 1st, Hour = 18, Min = 00 Day - Hour = 18, Min = 00 Hour - Min = 00 This logic will have the advantage that you only need to increment the day for a standard release to set its normal couriering date and time to 18:00 next day. Quite easy, isn't it? Keep in mind that you need to specify destination file name, release date, number of disks, release title, supplier, packager and the File_ID.DIZ title before you can process a file! Key configuration during file selection: ■ Cursor Keys - Navigate through the current directory. ■ Return - Change to highlighted drive or directory. ■ Space - Tag file, drive or directory tree. ■ ESC - Start release notes editing. Key configuration during release editing: ■ ALT - X - Aborts file processing. ■ ALT - R - Use previous file info! Very useful for creating multiple disk releases. You just need to change the destinaion name and the File_ID.DIZ title. ■ Cursor Up - Previous field ■ Cursor Down - Next filed ■ Page Down - Last field ■ Page Up - First field ■ Home - Begin of field ■ End - End of filed ■ Return - Save field and jump to next one or start picklist selection ■ Ctrl + Cursor Right - Next word to the right. ■ Ctrl + Cursor Left - Last word to the left. ■ Tab - Next field ■ Shift Tab - Previous field ■ Cursor Right - Next character ■ Cursor Left - Previous character ■ DEL - Delete current character ■ INS - Toggle Insert Mode ■ Backspace - Delete left character ■ ESC - Process current file Key configuration during picklist selection: ■ Cursor Up - Previous field ■ Cursor Down - Next filed ■ Page Down - Next page ■ Page Up - Previous page ■ Home - First field ■ End - Last field ■ Return - Save field and jump to next field ■ ESC - Abort picklist selection ┌────╖ │ F2 ║ Trading Machine : Under Production. └════╝ ┌────╖ │ F3 ║ Release History : Under Production. └════╝ ┌────╖ │ F7 ║ Help : View this file. └════╝ ┌────╖ │ F8 ║ Quit : Quit and return to DOS. └════╝ ┌────────────────────────────────────╖ │ TRSi Release Maker 1.00▀ ║ └════════════════════════════════════╝ 1) Design improvement. 2) New colorized ANSI for TRSI-NFO.COM. 3) Changed to 34 insted of 50 screen rows. 4) First real docs. 5) Implementated view of the dox through the program. 6) Some cosmetic fixes. ┌────────────────────────────────────╖ │ TRSi Release Maker 0.90▀ ║ └════════════════════════════════════╝ 1) Added ALT-R Feature for using previous file's release notes. 2) Added full drive and directory navigation. 3) New ANSI for TRSI-NFO.COM. Includes now member and board information. 4) Fixed a bug in the TRSI-NFO.COM patching routine, that corrupted this file during first test of this version. 5) Added external config file support for changing the default start path, the ZIP header and the BBS addy. 6) Added my own stamp prg that handels sub directories. Do not use elswhere 'caus is version 0.01. Coded in 5 mins. Update will follow. 7) Some cosmetic fixes. ┌────────────────────────────────────╖ │ TRSi Release Maker 0.70▀ ║ └════════════════════════════════════╝ 1) Multiple arcer support, selection only by file extension at the moment. Searchs for arcers in path statement. 2) Added file tagging. 3) Added one windows for editing all neccessary release information. ┌────────────────────────────────────╖ │ TRSi Release Maker 0.50▀ ║ └════════════════════════════════════╝ 1) Removes COMSPEC support because DOS' internal copy and delete commands are not able to delete and copy file with subdirectories without external files. Included 4DOS which is used for copy and delete. Maybe a later version will support DOS' xcopy.exe and deltree.exe, or I will use my own routines. BTW: Microsoft sucks! 2) Added editing of release notes. 3) Using new ANSI for TRSI-NFO.COM ┌────────────────────────────────────╖ │ TRSi Release Maker 0.01α ║ └════════════════════════════════════╝ 1) First alpha version for test purposes only. ┌────────────────────────────────────╖ │ Credits ║ └════════════════════════════════════╝ Interface by : Scythe Screens by : Scythe Scrolling TRSI-NFO by : Scythe Compiled with : Turbo Pascal v7.01 and TASM 4.2 ┌────────────────────────────────────╖ │ Bugs? ║ └════════════════════════════════════╝ Did you find any Bugs?
