Some common keys used in DOS programs

ENTER to select or continue
ESC to navigate back or exit
are often used to navigate menus

Emulation too slow?
Set the emulator to use maximum CPU speed

Emulation too fast?
Set the emulator to use the 8086 CPU configuration

Need to turn off the audio?
Disable sound card support

Have no audio?
  1. Try SoundBlaster 1.0 hardware
  2. Try Covox Sound Master hardware
  3. The song or audio file maybe missing from the program
  4. Audio may not be supported
Unlike other systems of the era, audio for DOS was unfortunately complicated for both programmers and end users alike. A lot of early scene software didn't bother including it. While those that did often didn't test it on all the hardware they supposedly supported.

DOSee pronounced dos/see, is our emulator used to run MS-DOS based software in your web browser.

MS-DOS (Microsoft DOS) was the primary operating system used by PCs during the 1980s to the early 1990s and is the precursor to Microsoft Windows.

DOSee is a slimmed down, modified port of The Emularity.

The Emularity is a multi-platform JavaScript emulator that supports the running of software for legacy computer platforms in a web browser. It is the same platform that's running emulation on the Internet Archive.

EM-DOSBox is a discontinued, high-performance JavaScript port of DOSBox that is applied by The Emularity for its emulation of the MS-DOS platform.

DOSee uses BrowserFS ZipFS and ZipFS Extras to simulate zip file archives as hard disks within EM-DOSBox.

DOSBox is the most popular MS-DOS emulator in use today and is frequently used by commercial game publishers to run games from their back-catalogues on modern computers.

N orth E astern C rackers P R E S E N T S UFO SIGHTED!! OFFICIAL RELEASE by SUBlogic GRAFIX: 16 COLOR EGA or (4 COLOR VGA ?!?!?!?) SOUND: ADLIB FX or PC FX TYPE: FLIGHT SIMULATOR SUPPLIER: UNION JACK CRACKER: NEC CRACKERS RATING: 7/10 Notes: Ok well back in December '89 / January 1990 an Experimental demo (meaning that it might never be released) of a beta version was released privately, it was a very nice demo for the times and I have waited awhile to see this game come out. Its not much different from the original (which with current standards means that it sucks) with the exception of bugs removed, finishing touches added, adlib sound fx (digitized beeps and booms) and ega or low res vga (4 colors at a time). All that I'm gonna say is that its still a cool game because its original. The plot of the game is that you are a UFO and your job is to smuggle rare energy (fosal fuel) from earth to your planet in space without being detected by humans. You can at will beam humans aboard by using your translucer and you may tractor beam 14 tomcats which may be lurking around. The Function keys are for speed and takeoff and number keys below them are for other things, H puts up the landing geat, I gets the tractor beam going, S changes your view etx....(full doc's will be available apon request, if enought people like this game). At the begining a demo will commense I suggest that you watch it through from Earth takeoff to other world landing (it gets better). GREETS to: EVERYONE GIVE OUR WHQ A CALL NUCLEAR MELTDOWN [416]395-1882 NUP APON REQUEST FROM: SHELL SHOCK (NEC COURIER) MASTER OF DISASTER (NEC WHQ SYSOP) UNION JACK (WHQ SYSOP) NASY BOY (WHQ CO SYSOP) or get the NUP on from the sysops of one of these fine BAORDS: THE RITZ THE G SPOT THE DEMONS FORGE
