Midnight Maniac/Paradox Denmark has been busted. On the 11th of January 1994 the founder and co-leader of Paradox was busted. He was busted due to large scale sale of pirated software. As he is still in custody, not many details has come out, but as far as I are concerned he WILL coorporate with the police. He has handed over information corcerning some parts of the danish piracy scene. The police has been intercepting his phoneline for more than 3 months and have a huge amount of evidence. The police also has been monitoring his postoffices. The police was informed by several danish software distributors. They will make claims of more than 2 mill dkr (appx 300000 US$). These companies want to link him with a certain danish PC bbs and a certain guy selling software on CD using a WORM. Henrik may even be sentenced to prison (this is NOT clarified) This case was in the beginning PC only but when the police discovered the nature of his sale (Amiga, SNES and PC) they covered up this whole case. WARNING - WARNING - WARNING - WARNING - WARNING - WARNING - WARNING If you are into ANY business with Midnight Maniac (or Fast Eddie, Mail Man, Wild Thing, Henrik, Kenneth etc) I hereby carefully advice you to take the precautions you think would be necessary to prevent the police in conjunc- tion with Midnight Maniac from busting YOU too. There can be NO doubt that Midnight Maniac will use all his knowledge about the danish scene to try to go free. As this is the biggest case of it's kind in Denmark the public hasn't been notified yet, as he will as mentioned above will cooporate with the police.
