Rockz, idle but not retired   by The Crazed Asylum (TCA)

This isn't a retirement letter, although I have all but retired from the scene. Eventually I will fade away altogether, but this is the closest thing to a retirement letter I will ever write (thank god, huh <g>). When Poo and I shut down RSS (Renaissance), I wasn't sad about it at all. It was a huge relief. Ahhhhh, I had my life back! Although this may sound like a harsh thing to say, people who are top traders, people who run groups, anyone who spends huge amounts of time at the keyboard on IRC either #1)has WAY too much time on their hands or #2)spends their time on IRC to avoid the realities of their real lives (I was guilty of #2). The scene can be great fun, yes, but it is a hobby -- not a way of life. So....I started WUT (Washed Up Traders). The idea behind WUT was to bring together a group of seasoned traders who had gone independent. Rather than tagging as IND, though, we'd all trade under the group WUT. We'd have no leaders and no sites. We'd trade where we wanted, when we wanted -- but generally just have fun together. WUT has evolved into something different, though. We have members from DMS, RTS, DEV, VNG, SLAC, MnM -- and a handful who actually trade under the WUT tag <g>. The people who hang there regularly are some of the greatest people I know on IRC. I mean it takes balls, a sense of humor, and zero ego to hang in a channel of self-proclaimed Washed Up Traders :). It is a pleasure knowing all of ya. While I'm here I have to thank a bunch of people who have affected my scene life: Winnie_T - the main reason I can't/won't fully retire....my very best friend. I can't imagine my life without you; you mean more to me than you'll ever know. I love you bunches. jeeps - what can I say, jeeps? You are just an amazing person. You really are my hero :). S^J and slammar - thanks for the tremendous effort you put into RSS when Poo and I semi-retired. I appreciate it SO much. X-Frog - your offbeat sense of humor always makes me literally laugh out loud. muggs - thanks for turning WCR over to me when you went on hiatus. It was fun while it lasted, but I'm sure glad THAT'S over with! Garoto - a true gentleman and one helluva great guy. machv - from friends to enemies to friends again. I'm glad we got past all that crapola and very happy to call you my friend. mandrake - you were SO great to me when we were in Motiv8 together. If it weren't for you, I would have prolly quit. You're a great person, mandy, but I do hate the fact that you look better in a dress than I do :P cockroach - Damn, I don't see you very much anymore, and I miss ya! Thanks for everything, bug :).
