This text was primary written in German. I tried to translate it into
English, but my English isn't very good, too, so there can be some
grammar errors...

Run your favourite hex editor and open the file 'explorer.exe' in the
windows directory. Don't forget to make a backup of the explorer.exe !
Here are some offsets:
0002D480 Here you find 'S.t.a.r.t.'. That's what you see on
the start button. To change this, e.g. to 'ABCDE'
(only up to 5 letters), set the cursor on 'S' and type:
<A>, <right cursor key>, <B>, <right cursor key>, <C>...
The '.' chars must not be changed ! You must not set
your own '.' 's !
0002CEC0 Here you see 'Klicken Sie zum Starten auf diese
Schaltfl„che' (sorry i have only german version...)
This text comes up, when you move the mouse cursor over
the start button. Like i wrote above, you can change this
text. If you use blanks, it will look like this:
'F.u.c.k. .y.o.u.!.'
If you look around in the file, you will find another texts to change.
But attention: one mistake, and the file is unuseble ! I am not
respondible for any damage that can be caused by this release !
When you have finished, save the result e.g. as 'explorer.---'. If you
have done the work in windows, quit it and type in DOS:
DEL EXPLORER.EXE
RENAME EXPLORER.--- EXPLORER.EXE
Now you have exchanged the explorer.exe with your masterpiece. Have fun !
p.s.: The 'shell32.dll' and other Windows-files contains many other
stuff ! ( In any windows file, the text is at the end of the file.
They are easy to find because of the '.' between the chars. )
Bye !
