DOSee pronounced dos/see, is our emulator used to run MS-DOS based software in your web browser.

MS-DOS (Microsoft DOS) was the primary operating system used by PCs during the 1980s to the early 1990s and is the precursor to Microsoft Windows.

DOSee is a slimmed down, modified port of The Emularity.

The Emularity is a multi-platform JavaScript emulator that supports the running of software for legacy computer platforms in a web browser. It is the same platform that's running emulation on the Internet Archive.

EM-DOSBox is a discontinued, high-performance JavaScript port of DOSBox that is applied by The Emularity for its emulation of the MS-DOS platform.

DOSee uses BrowserFS ZipFS and ZipFS Extras to simulate zip file archives as hard disks within EM-DOSBox.

DOSBox is the most popular MS-DOS emulator in use today and is frequently used by commercial game publishers to run games from their back-catalogues on modern computers.

============================================================================= T E T R A S C A P E brought to you by: Logic-Gate www.logic-gate.com Coded by *Corgon* for inclusion in the CIA #50 pack ============================================================================= REQUIREMENTS: ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Designed to run under Windows95 DOS (for easy detection of all system resources, ex. mouse, vga, RAM) Pentium 100 or better (Optimal system is a P133) 580K Conventional Memory, 4 Megs of RAM Sound Card VESA 1.2 Compliant VGA card (Most standard VGA cards are) Most, if any, errors that occur will be due to not enough conventional memory. This program was coded on a P133 with 600K conventional memory, a Soundblaster PRO card, Autodetecting DMA, IRQ, etc.. under Windows 95 DOS for mouse driver compatability as well as DPMI.. I haven't had too much time to work on fine-tuning the synchronization.. but it's okay for now. :) DISCLAIMER: ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Run the demo Tetrascape, coded by myself, at YOUR OWN RISK. I'm not responsible for any damage caused to your system due to use of the program in ways other than intended. Purposely chosing wrong sound card settings has the possibility of locking up your computer. Be forewarned.. By executing the demo, you are in agreement with the terms above. Enjoy! and keep your problems to yourself. ;) NOTES FROM THE AUTHOR: ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well, originally I felt like joining CIA because I just wanted to code a demo for them.. (If you're still interested in me joining just ask) I was formerly in a group called Against All Authority (AAA) which managed to die in two months.. (I even ended up coding a large demo for them, which was similar to a slideshow) But anyway, that was 1996, and I figured I'd make my contribution this year to the art scene. A note about demos as an artform: Whether you care to admit it or not, that *one* VGA picture you've worked on for hours could hold a 5 second spot in a demo. When you take a demo with a total running time of several minutes, you start to realize just how much art goes into creating a demo like Tetrascape. And for god sakes, PLEASE don't call this a VGA Intro or VGA loader. Intros and loaders are small.. sometimes very small.. While Tetrascape is over 2 megs.
