The SSEYO Koan system includes a comprehensive composition engine, a powerful and integrated software synthesizer and a *host* of other features. For example, just one of these is support for full MIDI file playback. This allows generative augmentation of existing MIDI material. Through manipulation of on-screen controls you can create you own SSEYO Koan pieces, from completely free-wheeling dervishes, to those based around subtly changing ‘seed-phrases’ and on To have the hottest sound palette for your pieces you can use the built-in Koan Software Synthesizer (SKSE), or SoundFonts (if your soundcard is SoundFont compatible). Alternatively, we have built in deep and extensive support for XG/GS and AWE controllers and even provided MIDI Books, meaning you can always squeeze the maximum out of the sounds you have already got. Koan Pro also now incorporates full DirectSound/QuickTime support, for advanced Audio (MP3/WAV) file instrument playback using SSEYO’s WAV Map technology, which supports both instruments based on small Audio (MP3/WAV) file fragments, and Audio (MP3/WAV) file-based breakbeats. SSEYO Koan Pro 2.5 features: Over 250 parameters to shape your musical pieces. Up to 256 separate voices (soundcard dependent). Separate windows for Power, Voice X, Rules and Piece level parameter views. Rhythm templates and demo pieces provided. 6 different voicetypes: Ambient, Rhythmic, FixedPattern, Follows, RepeatBar or Listening voice.
