HydraTone allows for band-by-band selection of individual EQ algorithms sampled from world-class analog EQs. This unique TriTone Digital concept allows you to use, for example, the color and charm of a 550 on the top and the strength and heft of a 9098 on the bottom. HydraTone currently features four classic sampled models. Additionally, HydraTone provides unique expansion and cut-capable filters, frequency specific phase rotation and correction, a separate output signal-path model and a unique and complex signal warming algorithm called Fire. Features BASS- Fixed width EQ with boost/cut by 12 dB from 25 Hz to 1.1 kHz. BASS FILTER- Variable filter with the ability to change from low cut to low expansion, creating unique low end curves. Range is 14Hz to 1.1 kHz. LO-MID, MID and HI-MID PARAMETRIC- Three band true parametric middle section (except 550 which is fixed width) with boost/cut by 12 dB. Frequency ranges are 50 Hz - 5 kHz, 110 Hz - 10 kHz and 466 Hz - 14 kHz. TREBLE- Fixed width EQ with boost/cut by 12 dB from 830 Hz to 21 kHz. TREBLE FILTER- Variable filter with the ability to change from treble cut to treble expansion, creating unique high end curves. Range is 1.7 kHz to 20 kHz. PHASE- Frequency-specific phase rotation and correction like popular hardware boxes that correct the phase between signal-pairs. Additionally, the phase section provides the ability to blend the phase corrected material with the original source audio for more EQ-like manipulations. FIRE- A unique and complex algorithm that utilizes the color from the main output color, blended with special warm tube circuit model. BLAST- Turns your FIRE into a blazing inferno with compression for aggressive punch. MAIN OUTPUT COLOR SELECT- A separate output signal path model, allowing for additional creative coloring using impulses from a number of analog sources (more to come). L/L+R- Allows manual control over the number of active channels to conserve CPU. This is only necessary on platforms that do not automatically lower the CPU usage when used on mono tracks.
