DOSee pronounced dos/see, is our emulator used to run MS-DOS based software in your web browser.

MS-DOS (Microsoft DOS) was the primary operating system used by PCs during the 1980s to the early 1990s and is the precursor to Microsoft Windows.

DOSee is a slimmed down, modified port of The Emularity.

The Emularity is a multi-platform JavaScript emulator that supports the running of software for legacy computer platforms in a web browser. It is the same platform that's running emulation on the Internet Archive.

EM-DOSBox is a discontinued, high-performance JavaScript port of DOSBox that is applied by The Emularity for its emulation of the MS-DOS platform.

DOSee uses BrowserFS ZipFS and ZipFS Extras to simulate zip file archives as hard disks within EM-DOSBox.

DOSBox is the most popular MS-DOS emulator in use today and is frequently used by commercial game publishers to run games from their back-catalogues on modern computers.

To get new LiTHiUM and Alt-1 stuff of which there is very little since I am the one making it and I have no time because I am totally busy with school, women, women, women, school, school, women, being anywhere but home, sleeping, sleeping, school, sleeping with women, being anywhere but home, partying, sleeping alone, school, listening to music, being anywhere but home, school, playing modfiles. You get the idea. Anyways, next issue of Alt-1 will be...when? I don't have a fucking clue... as soon as we--er, I mean, I have enough material to release a full issue I will. Expect some improvements reader-wise. Should be a little better this time although I liked Issue 10 just as well. Also, no more lame LITHINFO programs anymore I promise or at least I will write a real file display program for them. - Natas - ════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════ Β·βˆ™β”€ Features of coming Alt-1 : β”€βˆ™Β· ──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── β–  Multiple interfaces (just like a real diskmag) Did it. β–  Music playing to annoy you. Yeah, fuck you. Neil Tennant - ***** (2 for annoying, 3 for stupidity) Actual quote from Kneel and Bob : "I saw Doom on a 386SX and it sucked but then I saw it on a 386DX and it was a lot faster....boy those math coprocessors make a difference." No comment. Bullwinkle - ***** I don't like you...so sue me for libel. Midnight - You don't even get a star bitch, I won't give you that much credit. ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Why to call the Sanitarium : β–  14.4k modem β–  Vision-X not lame WWIV suckass ware β–  Latest mods, mod utils, composers, editors, trackers, demos, etc... β–  Me β–  LiTHiUM members...90% of us call... β–  Me β–  Nomad β–  LiTHiUM Dist. Ο† Drew some new ANSi Ο† 16 background colors now for ANSi and shit... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Changes (to BatteryACiD) for Alt-11 ::: -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ο† Got a .MOD player working (using SHELLVT) Ripped a nice mod called "The Full Deviation" by Deviant of AudioScape Hope he is not to embarassed that I ripped his mod for our mag. Player causes some flickers in the panning routine...SHELLV won't play with interrupts disabled... :( Wrote a quickie loader for SHELLVT and ALT-1...works good. Ο† Re-did ANSi Ο† Added another interface type, re-wrote old one a bit... Ο† Added a couple more VGA fonts for you to play with Ο† Figured out how raster bars work ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── ::: Why the fuck is there an SFX inside a .ZIP file? ::: Some lame BBS upload checkers don't like the passworded .ZIP file that Alt-1 keeps it's files in. This is tough shit for them but also tough shit for me because it'll nuke my uploads. So unless they have fucking neural nets in their upload checkers the idea is that they won't find my .ZIP file naa naa and you can get wonderful Alt-1 from BBSes with THDPRO and other lameness upload checkers. Someday I'm gonna write an upload checker much better than THD-PRO...Someday... ( That was written before I wrote UC which is as good as THDPRO and will soon be far better... ModShel kicked the shit out of ModMan and UC will kick the shit out of THDPRO... ) ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Trent GIFs take up most of the space... (but he's worth it) More articles/text in this issue than EVER before... Possibly an SVGA GFX viewer in next issue...as soon as I get time and NFO to do one...maybe a fakemode viewer from the XGY source I have... Should fix interrupt masks so SHELLVT can play with all other IRQs masked. Shit...gotta do that... Used COMPACK on .EXE files for best compression...this caused crashes on some computers but I really can't say I give a fuck. Possible 3-D texture-mapped vector Virtual Reality interface with immersion tank and multi-tasking, multi-threaded, 32-bit flat-mode Pentium MACH-based X-Windows API compatible, SVGA 1280x1280x64bit color graphics drivers and Display PostScript w/ emulation of all major 32-bit processors and operating systems and pre-emptive multi-tasking and multi-user networking supporting all network types transparently and MPEG/JPEG/Fractal image compression built-in with ADPCM compression of sound handled on-the-fly and 16:1 disk-compression driver with virtual-memory and virtual file system, TCP/IP extensions and support for ESDI, SCSI, IDE, EIDE, MFM, RLL, all optical, opti-magneto, CD-ROM and other devices, including Nintendo Game pad and U-Force. As soon as I get the docs for the U-Force programming NFO I will be able to release a beta of the OS... ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Note : This file (like Alt-1) will continue to get bigger each issue since I am _far_ to lazy to decide what to take out and there is no way in hell I am going to (god forbid) revise anything...
