If this is not the case, the program could have tampered with. Notes: ~~~~~~ TRT is pleased to help potential Remote Access sysops by providing to you a Remote Access key generator. I wish other groups would improve their distrobution methods, since we only found out after writing this key generator, that another key generator has allready been written. Never-the-less, for the benefit of those who dont have it, here is our key generator. This program has been beta tested and is almost bug free. However there may exist a facility to perform extra checks on data within the key that we do not currently know about. We have tried to make this program as user friendly as possible, and after this we will be writing all our code in Pascal, rather than .ASM for reliability and compatabibility. This program has been tested in numerous environments but one must understand that we dont have the beta testing budget of microsoft. Using The Program: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After ensuring that the correct SYSOP and BBS names are defined in your Remote Access setup, place the RA_KEY executable program in your main BBS directory. Upon running, the program will read your SYSOP and BBS names from the config.ra file and generate your key accordingly. If, however, you decide not to use this automatic facility, you may place the RA_KEY executable program in any directory. Upon running, it will ask you for the SYSOP and BBS names and generate your key accordingly. Revision Notes: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ v1.00 - This version was never to be released to public. It is used for beta-testing purposes. Found several bugs: - Patched 2 bytes one byte too far in. - RA_KEY2 did not detect RA 1.11 properly (oops.. forgot JZ) v1.01 - This version is *hopefully* bug-free due to the GREAT job Wolfgang does with the beta-testing. This version also includes the RA_KEY2, which Auto-KEYGENs the KEY file from information in CONFIG.RA! v1.10 - This version is the combination of RA_KEY + RA_KEY2 together in one.
