Copier : GB-X Release Date : 05 Feb 1999 ───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Release Information: -------------------- This is quite a nice old-style 'ladders+platforms' game, but as NIL pointed out in their NFO file:- "This game crashed right after when i selected in which level to start. So much for new games to play... well, enjoy the intro!" Well now you can enjoy more than just the intro! <CRACKER_RANT> Looks like they're gonna start protecting GBC roms against just straight dumping to cart in future. This is the first of its type that I've seen, but it's not very sophisticated - it simply checks for the presence of save-ram on the cart (the original cart doesn't have any, but of course GB-X/C3 etc. carts do). This particular protection was very easy to bypass, so if there are any future games that use the same technique I might just write a generic crack-patch... There are only one or two other ways to protect GB games (which I won't mention here in case it gives software co's any ideas!), but be prepared for much harder protections in the near future... </CRACKER_RANT> NOTE: This crack was tested on GB-X (16M and 4M carts), and I played the game through the first 8 stages without problems. There _may_ be further checks later in the game, so if you have any difficulties please get in touch and I'll fix it.
