It really annoyed me that one of my favorite games, QIX, doesn't save the
highscore to SRAM. It is really stupid to enter your name in a highscore
that will be lost if you turn off your gameboy.
That's the reason why I wrote this patch: It saves the highscore to the
SRAM, so QIX will remember it after power-off.
As the cart-type changes to MBC2, QIX will need 2 kBit (256 byte) of SRAM.
In the actual release of DGBMAX (v1.2) it still requires a whole bank
(64 kbit) of SRAM, but wait until the next release is finished ...
Apply this patch permanently to QIX, don't use the dynamic patch-system of
DGBMAX. The reason for this is that the cart-type changes when patching.
The dynamic patch-system is not expecting this and doesn't assign SRAM
to QIX if applied dynamically. - EMP-
