DxDataBook accelerates the design entry stage of PCB designs │ │by adding components or component data to a ViewDraw schematic using an │ │interactive library management system, that works with a corporate │ │database. │ │ │ │DxDataBook facilitates intelligent component selection, bridging the │ │gap between component information databases and design entry. It │ │leverages the Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) standard, as well as │ │Internet/Intranet standards, to provide electronics designers access to │ │component information that can help them make better design choices. │ │DxDataBook also ensures that designers can verify that the component │ │information on their schematics matches the information in the │ │corporate databases. │ │ │ │The Design Exchange client-server model uses open standards to provide │ │cross-platform functionality, so both PC and UNIX-based designers can │ │access the same databases, with the databases themselves residing on │ │multiple platforms.
